- Information on the string figure
This figure represents a giant anteater, a characteristic mammal of the American tropical lowlands and that can be frequently observed on the roads of the Chaco. The procedure is carried out with the big toe and shows in a very symbolic way the silhouette and in a streamlined style the profile of the animal.
1. Insert L big toe in the loop and L15. Extend.
2. Distally, insert R2 in the loop. R2 hooks down palmar string and pass under the R1n.
3. Proximally insert big toe R2 loop. Release R2.
4. Distally insert R2345 in the big toe loop and grab both near big toe strings.
5. Release L1 and exend.
6. Proximally , transfer R2345 loop to L1.
7. R2345 pass proximally to both L1n and grab L5n (between the crossing with the doble L1n and the big toe) and pull it toward you.
8. R2345 are now distally inserted in the large L5 loop. Proximally insert R1 in this loop and release R2345.
9. Reinsert R2345 proximally with R1.
10. Insert the all hand in the loop and, passing distally to both L1n, 2345 grab L5f.
11. Extend L1n toward you, proximally insert R1 in this new loop and release R2345.
12. Proximally transfer both big toe loop to R5.
13. Distally insert R12 into L1 loop, pass proximal to central L5n and, near the finger, seize L5n.
14. Release L1 and L5.
15. Proximally insert L15 in the loop seized by R12. Extend.
Extend.
