This string figure procedure shows a Picazuro pigeon (OFO) with opened wings. The Picazuro pigenon or Patagioenas picazuro is a common pigeon species of south america and is an edible species for Nivacle people.
1. Hold string between 1 and 2, hands being about six inches apart.
2. Make a small hanging loop with the six inches of string by bringing hands together, right over left.
3. Insert 2 towards you into the small loop. Continue the movement until 2 are upright.
4. Extend.
5. L1 enter distally in the lower 2 loop and picks up lower L2f string while R1 pass the upper R1 loop from below to picks up the upper R2f string (they are in fact the same string).
6. 345 enter in 1 loop and hook down 2n upper string.
7. Release 1.
8. L1 picks up the lower two 2 strings while R1 picks up the upper R2f string and the lower R2n string far form the fingers
9. Release 345 and extend.
10. 5 pass distally to 2n and pick up the upper 2n.
11. 2 hook up lower 2f, turn the palms away and release 1 in the same time.
