  • Information on the string figure
  • Each design on both sides of the string figure represents a shark. There are a male and a female shark respectively. When extending the string, the practitioner moves mostly the right hand, consequently the part representing the male shark does not move, whereas the part representing the female shark shrinks. This is perceived as the male dominance over female.
    1. Opening A
    2. Proximally, transfer 2 loops to w.
    3. Distally, insert 2 into 5 loops, hook up 5n.
    4. Distally, insert 2 into 1 loops, pick up 1f. Release 1.
    5. Proximally, transfer 2 loops to 1. Transfer w loops to palms.
    6. Distally, insert 2 into 5 loops, hook up 5n.
    7. Distally, insert 2 into 1 loops, pick up 1f. Release 5.
    8. Distally, transfer 2 loops to 5.
    9. 2 hook up TV string. Turn palms away. Release 1 and extend.
