            <text>Among the Nivacle as well as the Enlhet this figure represents two fruits of the quebracho blanco tree (Aspidosperma quebracho) joining at their base. The quebracho blanco, a tree characteristic of the Chaco landscape, is used in the construction of houses and in the manufacture of certain objects. Among the Enlhet, the tree was given an important ritual role: a young trunk was erected in a well during the female initiation festival.</text>
